BowSeat True Blue Fellowship for Young Ocean Advocates 2026

The fellowship was launched by the Future Blue Youth Council, a collective of Bow Seat alumni who recognized the need to empower young people to build a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient world.
Project Requirements
Proposed projects may be short-term or ongoing, but they must align with the fellowship’s core mission. Eligible projects should:
- Use creative arts as the primary method for raising awareness and inspiring action
- Actively engage local or target communities
- Produce clear, measurable benefits for both people and the environment
Fellowship Support
Selected fellows will receive:
- Up to $2,500 USD to support project development and execution
- Entry into a global network of youth leaders and learning opportunities
- Continued guidance and mentorship from Bow Seat staff and members of the Future Blue Youth Council
Eligibility Guidelines
The fellowship welcomes applicants from around the world who meet the following criteria:
- Are between 13 and 24 years old at the time of application
- Submit their application in English
- Apply either individually or as part of a group, with one designated group leader
- Can provide proof of age and identity if requested
- Submit only one application per applicant
- Propose a project that is new or in its early development stage, not exceeding two years
- Connect their work to ocean protection, water systems, climate action, or environmental justice, using creative expression as the main driver
